Orders may be fulfilled by an independently owned Chemzone franchise closest to your delivery address. Chemzone cc remains the seller and your point of contact for every order placed on this website.
2. Orders and acceptance
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order by email or dispatch the goods.
- We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is out of stock, a price was displayed incorrectly, payment is not received, or we reasonably believe the product will be used unlawfully or unsafely. If we cancel, we will refund any amount you paid in full.
- Product images are for illustration. Packaging and labels may differ slightly from those shown.
3. Prices and payment
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Delivery fees are shown separately at checkout before you pay (see section 4).
- The payment methods available are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider on a secure, encrypted connection, and we do not store your card details.
- EFT orders are processed once the funds reflect in our account.
4. Delivery
- Who delivers: if your delivery address falls within the area of one of our franchises (George, JHB West, Alrode and Oudtshoorn), that franchise will deliver your order. All other orders are sent from our main branch by courier (EPS or Fastway).
- Delivery fee: a flat delivery fee applies, based on your order total. The fee is shown at checkout before payment and will never exceed R1 500 per order.
- Delivery times: franchise deliveries usually take [1–3] business days and courier deliveries [2–5] business days. These are estimates and not guaranteed.
- Please provide a complete, accurate delivery address and a contact number. Failed or repeat deliveries caused by incorrect details may be charged.
- Ownership and risk in the goods pass to you on delivery.
- Please check your order on delivery. Report damaged, leaking or missing items within 48 hours, with photos where possible, to George@chemzone.co.za.
5. Product use and safety
- You must read and follow the label, directions for use and safety data sheet (SDS) of every product. SDSs are available on request.
- Store products in their original containers, out of reach of children and pets, and never mix chemicals unless the label instructs you to.
- Product information on the website is a general guide and does not replace the label. If you are unsure whether a product suits your application, contact us before buying.
6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
- Cooling-off period: under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you may cancel your order without reason within 7 days of receiving the goods. The only cost to you is the direct cost of returning them.
- For safety and quality reasons, chemical products can only be returned if they are unopened, unused, with the seal intact and in the original packaging. Opened or used products cannot be accepted back, except where they are defective (see section 7).
- To return an item, email George@chemzone.co.za with your order number before sending anything. We will arrange collection or tell you where to return it. Products must be packed securely, upright and leak-free.
- Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 30 days of us receiving and checking the returned goods.
7. Defective goods
- In line with the Consumer Protection Act, if a product is defective, unsafe or not fit for its intended purpose, you may return it within 6 months of delivery. You may choose a repair, replacement or refund.
- This does not cover damage caused by misuse, incorrect storage, mixing with other products, or not following the label directions.
- If you received the wrong item, tell us within 48 hours and we will collect it and send the correct item at no cost to you.
8. Limitation of liability
- To the extent the law allows, Chemzone cc, its franchises, members and employees are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising from the use or misuse of products bought on this website, including loss caused by not following label or SDS instructions.
- Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, or our liability for gross negligence.
9. Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). To fulfil your order, we share your name, contact details and delivery address with the franchise or courier delivering it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
10. General
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the website when you place your order applies to that order.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
- If any clause is found to be invalid, the remaining clauses still apply.
- Questions or complaints: George@chemzone.co.za or 087 238 5803. If we cannot resolve a complaint, you may contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) or the National Consumer Commission.
